Search widens in oknha killing

Hope the police won't arrest fake killers like Born Samnang and Sok Sam Oeun in the case of Chea Vichea's murder because the murder suspect is the personal bodyguard of Deputy Police Commissioner of Phnom Penh, Gen. Chuon Narin.

Police yesterday said they were widening the search for the two men responsible for the fatal shooting of tycoon businessman Ung Meng Cheu on Saturday evening.
Kirt Chantharith, spokesman for the National Police, said police had divided the investigation into a number of parts so they could focus on all aspects of the Shimmex Group chairman’s personal and business affairs.
“We will focus on everything related to tycoon Meng Cheu, including where he has stayed, who he has contacted and any land disputes or business disputes he may have been involved in,” he said. “I cannot say exactly how far [our investigation] has come … but right now, we have a lot of relevant information.”
Kheng Tito, national military police spokesman, said he thinks [Meng Cheu’s] death “may be” the result of a business dispute.
“The suspect must be arrested … we [will] not let him [remain free],” he said by text message.
Meng Cheu was gunned down outside a fruit shop on Sihanouk Boulevard. Witnesses saw two men pull up on a motorbike as Meng Cheu got out of a Lexus. Surveillance footage shows one of the men shoot the businessman six times before fleeing.

Court officials, a complainant in a case against Meng Cheu and the businessman’s lawyer have told the Post he had been involved in a number of court cases. One of them, over a land dispute in the capital’s Sen Sok district, was due to be heard December 8.
Mao Chanrith, general manager of Shimmex’s Seng Hing Heng Import Export company, yesterday appealed for the government to do all it could to solve the case.
“We have no detailed information from the police yet.… They have mentioned a business dispute. I think they have other sources. But I have never heard of this,” he said.
“I ask the government to help us find the truth. Otherwise, this case will scare away rich investors,” he said.
Meng Cheu’s body was buried at a pagoda in Kampong Speu province’s Samrong Tong district yesterday morning.

Cambodia is currently run by the mafias and their boss is Hun Sun who controls the executive, legislative and judiciary.
Don’t expect any relief soon, unless HS is assassinated.

He stopped to buy fruit - how far are the fruit stalls from killing site? No witnesses from fruit sellers?

Plausible reason;;;----> the killer could have dressed up like the suspect in this footage to fool the expert investigators, knowing that the 'supposed' suspect would show up at the crime scene. From my perspective - the killer seem to be skinnier then this 'supposed' suspect dressing like the killer. Just my opinion, don't shoot me.

I always view myself as smarter, wiser than the entire Khmer community. I notice the Khmer folks tend to make so much assumption, accusation based on very little facts.

In facts, there were times the Khmer folks would make up lies to suit their accusations. That's the Khmer way.

Last weeks, you folks jumped up and down accusing the Cambodian American politician to be CPP's dog for meeting with Mr. Hun Sen and Hun Manet. But then the man also met with CNRP later and joined the protest for the release of land-grab prisoners. So, what's up now? No more jump up and down accusing the good man?

I say, Khmer race is very immature and pathetic. Grow up! You are dumb and inferior, shut up and listen more. Learn more, a lot more before you write your comments.

By nature, the Khmer race is very violent. Watch this Youtube clip, this White guy in Cambodia was brushing with death be the hand of the Khmer teenagers.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7BNRKt3f3c

Listen to what he said, "The Cambodian people are infamous for sudden mob violence."

According to last year World death risk survey, a Cambodian person is 50 times likely to be dead because of violence as compared to a Japanese.

You folks should go to the expatriate forum and see what the Whites have been writing about the Cambodians and the Vietnamese. Learn and improve. You folks look terrible, pathetic to the International Community. Fix it.
