The Vietnamese, Lao and Cambodian premiers agreed to promote trade, investment and tourism among the three countries while attending the eighth Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam (CLV) Development Triangle Summit in Vientiane on Tuesday, Vietnam News Agency reported.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and his Lao and Cambodian counterparts Thongsing Thammavong and Samdech Hun Sen revised a master plan on socio-economic development in the CLV triangle through 2020.
They also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on incentive policies for the bloc.
The leaders praised recent achievements in the implementation of the plan and the MoU, especially in terms of infrastructure development, trade, investment and tourism promotion.
They accepted a proposal from PM Dung that called for the expansion of cooperation in the triangle and the appointment of a joint committee to design a plan to increase economic connectivity between the three countries.
PM Dung also proposed that the three countries continue to improve tax policies and simplify investment procedures for businesses, especially those operating in shipping, mining, rubber and coffee, energy, telecoms and tourism.
To facilitate the exchange of goods and travel, he also called for the early completion of an agreement on promoting and facilitating trade activities in the area, the upgrading of border gates, the implementation of a one-stop-shop model at border gates in 2015, and the implementation of the Cross Border Transport Agreement within the framework of the Greater Mekong Sub-region.
PM Dung said the three countries should focus on implementing the master plan's targets, striving for an annual average GDP growth rate of 10 percent and an annual per capita income of US$1,500-1,600 by 2015.
He noted that the three countries should boost information exchanges and work together to tackle security issues in border regions.
He also emphasized the need for the CLV triangle to attract further support from other partners, including Japan and South Korea and international financial institutions such as the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.
Before wrapping up the meeting, the three PMs signed a joint pledge on cooperation in the CLV triangle and agreed to hold the ninth summit in Cambodia in 2016.

Cambodian, Vietnamese PMs vow to deepen ties, cooperation

PHNOM PENH, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) -- Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen met with his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Tan Dung and the two leaders vowed to further enhance relations and cooperation for mutual benefits, a senior Cambodian official said Tuesday.
The two primer ministers met Monday afternoon on the sidelines of the 8th CLV (Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam) Summit in Vientiane, the capital city of Laos.
"Both sides discussed ways to further promote trade and investment," Kao Kim Hourn, minister attached to Prime Minister Hun Sen, told a press conference at Phnom Penh International Airport while Hun Sen returned from the summit.
He said the two-way trade between the two neighbors was valued at 2.5 billion U.S. dollars in the first nine months of this year and both leaders reiterated their commitment to boost the trade volume to 5 billion U.S. dollars by 2015.
For the investment side, Dung said there have been 134 Vietnamese investment projects in Cambodia with the capital of 1.4 billion U.S. dollars, and asked the Cambodian government to continue supporting those Vietnamese companies.
According to Kao Kim Hourn, to further enhance bilateral ties, Vietnamese State President Truong Tan Sang will visit Cambodia from Dec. 22 to 24 as Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni will visit Vietnam in January next year.
Both leaders also discussed the issue of Vietnamese immigrants in Cambodia, border demarcation process, and connectivity.
Cambodia's National Police said last month that Cambodia has deported at least 344 illegal Vietnamese immigrants back to their country in the last six months of this year.

Which nation will be benefited from this deal? Yieknam, Laos and Cambodia will left behind because Laotians and Khmer folks are considering as lazy and lay back lack of ambition more like black folks and Native Indians in America today.

Yuon was born to compete do any things necessary to wins without conscience that including steals, kills,or monopolizing business deals bypass the laws and distorting, cheating in the name "Money" In Cambodia along Tunle Sap and Mount Bokor all no will be vasted with the cockroach's pieces (yuon) in the next decade or so,in the west the place like Belair in Houston or Orange County in L.A also invaded by this cockroach as well, once these cockroaches moves in,all the hapitaters will move out because these cockroaches only do business with its kind in Houston is prime example.

My conclusion is; The triangle developments are benets Hanoi and her people in the name of stealing land slowly and quietly without bloodshed or without anyone notice, this tactics is khmer's proverb called; Kdao si rak, tro'jak si chov...! Prey Nokor concessions to yuon by Sdach Cheyjatha II for 5 years now fully controlled by yuon. Some thing for all Khmer & Laotians to thinks about before it too late.

@Kmenhwatt

Sir! Calling the other people as 'cockroach' won't make you look cooler, instead it only depicted how racism you are.

Bad things happened anywhere and conducted by anyone, don't just blame Vietnamese especially while you have no evidence at all

Stealing land? Source?

Brothers should work and help the other, Vietnamese, Laotians and Cambodians are brothers, we should work together instead of blaming.

PS: oh and since you called Vietnamese as 'youn' then I think I may prefer Cambodian as 'Mien'! What do you think?

Can you tell me why do the Vietnamese want to be brothers with the weaker neighbors like Laotians and Cambodians but not with the stronger Chinese?

-------

Because

- You don't want to be friend with the backer of Khmer Rogue, aren't you?
- At least for the last few hundreds years Vietnamese, Laotian and Cambodian suffered, fought then won and lived side by side again various invaders (Chinese and their Khmer Rogue was one of them)

You brought up a very good point: You don't want to be friend with the backer of Khmer Rouge.

When Vietnam toppled Khmer Rouges to save the Cambodian people, China quickly within 2 months attacked Vietnam to rescue Khmer Rouges. But Vietnam fought 2 fronts at the same time, Khmer Rouges and Chinese fronts to save and protect the Cambodian people.

China continued to support Khmer Rouges for the next fourteen years from 1979 till 1994, sending weapons and supplies through Thailand to help Khmer Rouges.

I really hope the new Khmer Rouge crime against humanity research will bring all the facts to light. Most bad Khmers who had Khmer Rouge relatives ran West, and tricked the Western powers to accept them as refugees. The good Khmers who were the victims under Khmer Rouges ran East toward Vietnam for protection. These did not immigrate to the Western world.

I really hope USA realize this and deport as many Khmer Americans back to Cambodia as possible. These are the seeds of future problems in USA. Khmer Americans are the worst Asian ethnics and had the worst gang problems.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-09-10/samsung-vietnam-phone-leap-has-farmhand-living-a-dream.html

"As one of the 16,000 newly hired workers at Samsung’s factory in Vietnam, Hai makes as much as $470 a month and stays in a company dormitory that she says is like living in a hotel. The former farmhand has even begun saving $200 a month to help build an indoor bathroom at her parents’ rural home."

"Nguyen Thanh Hai spent long days picking water spinach in northeast Vietnam for $3 a day. That was before the 28-year-old joined a Samsung Electronics Co. (005930) smartphone assembly line in March."

Thank you Samsung, please help Vietnam to dominate Cambodia. Samsung will not come to Cambodia. Khmer race is too stupid and violent.

Five days ago, Samsung has just received license to build a huge factory, worth 3 billion US dollars. Many more Vietnamese will get clean, high paying high-tech jobs.

Boohoohoo, Khmer folks will not get any good factory. When the Vietnamese save up enough money, they will buy more land concessions and hire more Khmer to work on the land ok? You are born to serve the Vietnamese.
